So I purchased my first NFA item today, a supressor.
My FFL gave me 3 copies of the Form 4 "application for tax paid transfer registration of firearm" If I am reading this right, I am required to send two copies of the form 4 to the ATF? I am thinking he just gave me an extra one in case I screwed something up? Also on the form 4, under the section "Transferee's Certification" It has the line I (Insert name here), have a reasonable necessity to possess the machine gun, SBR, SBS, or Destructive Device described on this application for the following reason(s)_____________________________ ................What is the proper thing to write in this blank? thanks nick |
