[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Form 4 Questions

My buddy and I are kicking around the idea of starting up an 07/02. Right now, we're in the "kicking the idea around" stage and haven't really gone beyond that. Who knows, we may not even get beyond that stage. In any case, we're trying to look at all of the angles.

My question concerns Form 1 & 4s that folks send in with their NFA items for work. Is there a requirement to retain the hard copy Forms after the items have been returned to the customer? Thanks.

We keep a copy with the 4473.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about transfers out. For gunsmithing on a Title II firearm we don't keep the form once the gun goes back to the owner.
