I want a Sig MPX pistol that I would like to SBR.  I've got other NFA stuff on my trust.  I think the ATF recently made some changes that affects filling with trusts for form 1's etc.  In a nutshell can I still use my trust to SBR a pistol and how much more difficult is it to do this now?  Don't want to get the pistol only to find out it is next to impossible to SBR it.  Thanks in advance for your help.

To be a little more precise...the cutoff is 7/13/16.

Any form postmarked prior to that date follows the current rules. Any form postmarked on/after that date will follow the new rules. With eForms, I'm assuming it must be Submitted by that date..,and that those in Pending Research status may not qualify (as the Submitted date isn't populated until it moves from PR to S/IP).

Can you pay with credit card on the mail in forms or is that an eforms only thing?

Thanks

The current F1 & F4 both have a page 3 that allows for payment by CC. Even if you happen to have some of the older paper forms sitting around, you can send a copy of page 3 from the new one with pages 1-2 from the old one and they'll take it.

And even then you can still use a Trust....just have to submit prints.

BW,
Thanks for the reply.

Any idea when they charge as it relates to when they receive the forms?

I'm thinking about sending a few in at the last minute but I'd like to know if they won't be processed on my card until approved or if they are processed as soon as they show up on the receiver end or at some other key point in the process.

Thanks
Wes

Usually within 24-72 hours of when they receive it in GA. I think my last one was mailed on a Mon and CC charged Thu or Fri.

Yep.

Draft copy of the updated Form 4, and the updated Form 1.

Also, draft copy of the new 5320.23.
