.45 1911 style pistol that a co-worker wants to buy, but doesn't want his wife to know about.(She doesn't like pistols, but has no problem with long guns) I told him a price, and he countered with an offer of 6 30rd AR and 6 20rd AR mags and a hundred bucks to boot. I asked what condition the mags are in, he said about 80% finish on them.

I wanted 200.00 for the pistol...would this trade be fair?

Basically, the question is if whether or not the magazines are worth $100 since you are already getting half the $200 in cash.

IF THEY ARE LEGAL PRE-BAN MAGS...the 20-rounders go for anywhere between $15-25 depending on make.  The 30s are less valuable, but still about $15 easily.

Sounds like a fair deal if the mags are in good condition and are a known USGI pre-ban mag.
