I really like the looks of the FN SLP Police, but want the 22" MkI...yet I cannot stand the gooseneck sight. Can the rail and sight on the Mark 1 be easily removed and replaced with something more like the Police model? Thanks, CVN

Those things are stuck on pretty good. Expect to pay some coin to have it done, and the barrel refinished.
I hated the lpa sights on my 18", stock is the wrong height. Took quite a bit of heat and a big hammer to get the front off. Still waiting to get it to polychoke for some work now. |
| It is part of the barrel for all intents and purposes. I have seen some mods over at Brian Enos of people grinding/cutting them off and refinishing. If you can get it off, the top of the receiver is the same and is drilled and tapped for a screw on base. I just left it on mine, have run an EOTech on it for a bit but I am back to just the iron sights for now. The gooseneck doesn't really bother me anymore. |
