I have built some AR lowers and know my limitations with the home gunsmithing.

What is the best route - kit/reciver and gunsmith to do the build?

All the info you need is there.  Look in the FL section for some help building your FAL.  Look in the marketplace for a kit and rec.

And when your done, make a small contribution to the board.  There are some serious $$ issues with keeping the board up and running right now.

^ a good reference for Fal builds.  Lots of step-by-step instructions and pics.

If you can read and have a bit of time, rolling your own isn't too hard.  Odds are decent there is someone in your area that will lend a hand and has the tools....

I didn't take any pics but it will give you some ideas of tools and parts that are needed plus costs...  My Imbel shoots great!
