Hey, I'm thinking about a Glock 21 for my first pistol and I was wondering where I can get a threaded barrel for a future suppressor? I like the look of the extended barrels with thread protectors anyway, even if I didn't end up getting a suppressor.

Also, it looks like a Crimson Trace laser would get obstructed by a suppressor, if it does, what laser doesn't?

I was origonally planning on a 1911, but they're waaay too damn expensive.

Thanks

Damon

No one knows? Does anyone use a suppressor or extended barrel on a Glock 21?

Yes... I use a SWR Hems 2 on a G21..

Barrel is a KKM... Im about to molycoat it this weekend.

KKM and Bar-Sto are good choices.  I have a friend who got a Storm Lake barrel for his g21 from brownells and had SWR thread the barrel for his HEMS ( a little cheaper route).

A little more info please.  Are all KKM barrels threaded? What's the thread pitch?

With KKM and Bar-Sto you can tell them the thread pitch you require (call the suppressor manufacturer for thread specs).

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but would this barrel be extended for a suppressor in a Glock 21? BAR-STO Glock 21 SS Threaded 9/16X24 w/ thread protector

It seems like it would, but just making sure.

Keep in mind that if you are planning on using a HEMS, the threads have a slightly truncated (squared) bottom to the minor diameter (the valley) and they dont match up exactly to standard threading....

its why its always best to either have the barrel manufacturer get the full thread specs or have the suppressor manufacturer chop, thread, and recrown an extended barrel.

I'm going to get one from Lone Wolf for my Gemtech Blackside with 0.578 x 28 thread.

I got a surprise today when I tried to order a Jarvis Glock 21 barrel, threaded .578x28 from Lone Wolf.  They are about $240 but they didn't have any in stock and it would be about 10 days. But they did have their Lone Wolf barrels threaded the same. They are like $90.  I called Gemtech to ask about this barrel and they said AOK so I ordered one and a thread protector; total cost, about $108 to my door.

Got the Lone Wolf barrel today. Looks great, seems to fit fine. Will try it out soon and report back.
