Here are some of the pics of ARs that were at the Springfield Armory.

SA Prototype, Hard to see but this thing has 2 barrels side by side fed from 2 side by side magazines.

Yep, thanks again.

What rifle is that in the last two pics? I've seen other pics of it (I think) but don't remember which model it is. Besides, I'm too lazy to get up and find a book that might have it.

Keep 'em coming. I am always fascinated by prototype and rare variants of common weapons.

Wouldnt mind having that Model 01 Colt, especially since it has my birth year on it

Crap!!! Take a look at the size of the pivot pin on that Model 01 Colt. It's the large size like the commercial AR's use. Colt just never updated the commercial guns to the smaller pin size when they updated the military models. Intresting.

All you're seeing is the head of the pivot pin.  The pin itself isn't any bigger.

Are you sure Troy? There is a brown something, I presume to hold the rifle up, but what looks like the pivot pin sure looks flush with the lower receiver.

Plus the pivot pin in the next pic (of ArmaLite #000008) looks like it's a big pin also, without the brown thingie visible.
