I just got an E-4 stock for my STG556 and took it to the range to shoot it a bit.  The trigger resets enough to keep firing but not enough to move the safety selector from fire to safe.  I have to push the trigger all the way forward with my finger to get the safety back on.  Are their any quick fixes for the problem?

Pull the receiver from the stock then look at the top of the stock over the trigger. You'll see a small screw that holds the trigger to the transfer bars. If it's slipped then the transfer bars won't go back as far as they should and the trigger won't reset fully. You can loosen the screw to check that the trigger is all the way forward and the transfer bars all the way back before retightening (a drop of loctite is a good idea).

Thanks, that seems to have taken care of the problem with the trigger reset.  The second problem I have with the E4 stock is with the safety.  There dosen't seem to be any type of detent holding the safety in the safe position.  When I slide it over onto fire I get a good "click" and a detent that holds it there.  When I slide it over onto the safe position there is no "click" and no detent holding it in place.  I find myself constantly pushing the safety to the sfe position to make sure it is all the way in place at all times.  If someone can tell me how to get the safety out I could maybe get it figured out as well.  Im starting to doubt this new stock.

To remove the safety you will need to remove the trigger bar.  I would be more than happy to trade you stocks.  PM me your phone number and I will give you a call.
