| I am going to refinish my Glock. Do I need to sand blast or can I just spray? |

No need to sand/bead blast. I've bead blasted a couple AR upper/lowers and the results were no different then w/o blasting them Take the gun as far apart as you feel good doing. The further the better for best coverage Make sure you degrease and pre heat. Do light coats and heat (hair dryer works fine) in between coats |

There is a difference between sand blasting and glass beading. Sand is very irregular in shape with small sharp edges. Glass beads are simply small round beads of glass. Both will give you a matt finish but sand blasting will give the surface a very fine cut up texture that whatever you are coating with (either moly resin or duracoat aka two part paint) will have a better "grip" on. So if you can sand blasting will make what ever you are using stick better. not necesary but in the end it will last longer. IPSC_GUY SIERRA II ALPHA |
