Looking to get a sensor for the driveway...You know, just a sensor that chimes when someone pulls in, etc. Anybody have experience with a sensor system that works and is durable (elements, etc..)

I have a Chamberlain unit that has been working great for the four months I've had it set up.  It gives me 15 seconds by time a vehicle pulls in my drive to the time it reaches the house.

I have what looks to be the older model of the Chamberlin. It's called the Reporter. The first one lasted a couple of years, the current one has been going strong around 4 or 5 years.
