| I have a Russian SKS I'm going to get rid of and have had it before I ever was a licensed C&R holder. I know any C&R acquisitions whether I use my license or not has to be logged in the acquisition book but will I have to log a pre license acquisition in my disposition book? |

Yes, it is my understanding that if you sell one aquired before your license then you log it into your book as coming from your personal collection and then log it out to the purchaser.
But then I haven't sold any of my C&R guns whether from before or after I got my license.

| The rules are simple. You must log all dispositions and acquisitions while you are licensed; it does not matter how you acquire or dispose. If you are disposing of a gun and you have a C&R license then it gets logged out. As was stated earlier, log it into your book from your previous collection, and then log it out. |

Thanks for the input folks. So, the day I sell her, log her into my acquisition book as an existing pre license piece and then go ahead and dispo her right away? The few I've sold, I have documented as suggested here, logged in then out same day. If your willing to ship it when it goes let me know. |
