With a group 2 dial lock at what point could i damage a dial by dialing it too fast? Is it even possible to damage one by spinning it around?

By dialing the combo, no. But spinning the dial can damage the lock. Combination locks are precision pieces of machinery.

you don't want to flick the dial, that is what causes the combo to slip.
