I'm looking at getting the DSA SA58 Carbine with the Extreme Duty Scope Mount. I've been more of an AR person but am now venturing into FALS. I've got a few questions: 1. Will the Scope Mount obscure the open sight picture at all? I.e. will it obscure the bottom part of the sight picture? 2. What kind of accuracy (MOA) can I expect from this rifle? 3. Can you recommend any other rifle with same quality that may be better? Thanks. |
Reduced Range / Velocity and increased Noise / Flash is about it. Shorter barrels, all else being equal, are a bit more accurate. They may be a little more picky about the gas setting they will run with as the dwell time is lower for the gas system. Accuracy is decent to good. I can't get 2 MoA out of anything but handloads and match ammo though. Don't expect to shoot clover leafs with it, but it will hit a grapefruit easy inside 150 to 200 yards. Scope mount doesn't impede the irons at all. |
