Anyone know where I can get 2 custom cam levers with 1/4x28mm threads. Going to try in on a remington 700 to make it easier to assemble and diss assemble.
Dunno how well it will work but I wanna give it a shot. |
| I used to carry a seekonk t- handle torque wrench that was dialed into the correct torque for my bottom metal. I would toss it in the stock pack and that was pretty quick. I'm guessing if someone were to machine these for you they would be pretty pricey and cost more in the end than a nice torque wrench. |
| I understand some cam levers are common..ie the ones in common thread pitches. But 1/4-28 is not a common thread in most industries. So I assumed that someone will have to machine these for you. Set up and plus shop time for for two cam screws may be tough to swallow. Can't hurt to look around and get a quote. |

Since when ? 1/4 x 32 is uncommon , 1/4 x 28 is simply the common fine thread pitch for 1/4" fasteners . . . . am I missing something ? Quoted:

For the bottom metal , they may not be strong enough being locked down by a 1/4" cam lever , and I'd imagine that using one for the screw behind the trigger guard would make it annoying and painful to shoot. |

Which one did you get exactly seems like it might be a easier solution. |
