I'm almost to embarrassed to post this. but I do feel so much safer now that Ottawa registered that mans soldering gun!!

I just bought a glue gun for my wife. The overall length is over 4" but the "barrel" is less then 1". So I think it's prohibited..yet there was a whole display of them at the hardware store. The cashier didn't ask for my possession/acquisition license either. So..do I keep quiet and hope I don't get caught or register it? It's a duel temp model too. I'm not sure if that makes it pre or post ban!!!
I think I better hide.

Soldering gun, nothing! How's 'bout them caulkin' guns? To borrow a phrase from Di Fineswine, they are virtual "caulk hoses"! Not to mention that the tip can be easily cut off to create "saw off" caulking guns, capable of accepting hi-cap caulk tube.
When caulking guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have leak-proof bath tubs. |

Hey now, don't all think you're king of the illegal building/repair tools! For my carry solder gun, I have an illegal full-auto solder gun! And, as a backup, I carry a sawed-off caulk gun! Beat that!
