I sent mine off a week ago. AH!!!! The wait is killing me. I couldn't wait so I sent off my paperwork to CMP for a Service Grade M1 Garand today!!!!

It took my license almost 5 months to get to me. I think it is a NY state thing. Hope you get yours faster

Woo Hoo! sent mine in Sept 22, and guess who got a pale blue envelope today!!!!!!! Yee Haw, time to start spendin' I sure hope you don't have to wait as long!

Wow, 5 months!!! I received mine in about 6 weeks. (IIRC)

That's a Hell of a long wait. When I sent my application in earlier in the year it was only several weeks turnaround, IIRC ... I'm fairly certain it was no longer than a month.

I really believe its a New York thing. My license was pending at the NY ATF office for a couple of months.

I'm getting ready to start my 4th month of waiting.

I sent in my app the last week of September and was told I was pending in late October. I called back in early December... They lost my paperwork and had no record of me in the system. The only way they found me was through my bank card transaction!

I faxed the copies of my app back over, still waiting....

I just got my renewal back in 4 weeks - cant beat that!!!

They assign applications to staff who works specific states. I have been waiting 4 months for my renewal. When I inquired about the status they sent me a letter of authorization to continue using my C&R. If I dont get it soon I'm going to see if I can apply some congressional grease..

My license finally arrived today.

I sent in my app on 9/23, so it took exactly 15 weeks to arrive.

Now the expensive part begins.

I dropped my renewal in the mail on Tuesday afternoon.

They certainly wasted no time in cashing my check, which cleared today.

Update.....

Bastiges. I sent my app 12/17 triple checked that all pages were included and filled out. This Morning 1/14 I rec'd a letter informing me that I had NOT included page 2. So, I pulled out my file with photocopies of all submitted paperwork and of course my page 2 was right in the thick of what they were sent.

After sending the page 2 a second time with return receipt, I wonder if this will be quick when they get it or if I'm back to the end of the line. Gotta love it when the bureaucrats lose your stuff and throw the blame back in your lap

Wow, I cant belive the wait times you guys are having. I sent off my app on the 2nd of January and had it back approved within 10 calendar days.

The worst part for me was that when I sent for my license I had extra $ to spend on a rifle or 2. Works typically gets sloww during the winter so I have less $ to spend on stuff.

You can just download and print off the internet. Much faster.

I don't think you can download it anymore.It only took a couple of days for me to get my app in the mail

same for me the BATF site as far as I know does not have that file availabe on thier site anymore.
I had to request the form online and it was mailed to me. Crazy thing is they sent it first class!

I received my application back from BATF. I somehow overlooked putting in my birthdate. The processed my payment though and stamped it paid. Man what a tease for a gun collector.

I was pretty impressed that they mailed it to me and provided me the opportunity to correct the oversight. I figured they would have just trash canned the application and sent me a denial. Hats off to the BATF.

If I hadn't screwed up, that would have been completed and in my hands with in 30 days. I'm really surprised they did it that fast.

Now, the wait begins again........

Mailed my application in October, ATF charged my credit card in November, called about the status last week and they were just getting around to performing a background check.
