Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - CMP SAFS question

I am interested in the Small Arms Firing School held at Camp Perry.  I would like to attend but have never had any prior formal training.  I would like to know what to expect of the school and what they should expect from me.  Is it worthwhile?  I'm sure I could use the basic shooting skills type training to get rid of some rough spots.
