[ARCHIVED THREAD] - CMP Garand scope mount

So I want to scope one of my Garands, and I do not want anything that requires permanent modification of anything on the rifle.

The CMP has something but there's no photo.

Does anyone have this mount? What do you think of it? Anything better out there, and why?

This mount is a scout type mount made by Amega Ranges
Here's a better pic of one mounted with scope on a Garand...

I do not have one but I have considered purchasing one. I have heard good feedback on them. I believe the barrel needs to be a GI contour in order to fit. Google Amega Ranges and you should come up with some info.

Thanks! I think you're saying that the Amega Ranges scout mount you describe and show is the same one that the CMP is selling.

Yes, Amega makes it for the CMP with CMP specified laser engraving.

I have one on my Garand.

I put an EOTech on it for a Tac rifle match
