Sent my application in, what's the average turn around time?

It took me about 4 months to get mine but that was at the height of the M1/M1903 feeding frenzy last year. I think they are taking about two-three months now.
Check out www.jouster.com for more info, a most excellent site for CMP related info.

Depends on what you ordered.  I ordered a SG SA and a SG HRA on 8/29.  I got my SA about a month later and I got the HTA in January.  The SA took longer because they were still behind because of the '03 rush.  However, for a SG SA it now seems to be a couple weeks to a month.  Trust me though, it's worth the wait.
Later,
Rich

Yeah, should be a few months.  My first CMP Garand (back in the middel of 2001) came in 8 DAYS!  I was floored!

Now that the M1903 frenzy is over, they're actually processing rifle orders in about two weeks.  How long  you wait after that depends on what you order.

I mailed in an order for a Service Grade Springfield on January 6.  The rifle arrived this past Thursday, Jan 23, a VERY NICE late 1942, rebuilt sometime in the 50s.  If only it could talk...
I can't wait to take it for a spin.

EDITED:
I saw from your other thread that you also ordered a SG SA.  If you included your email address with your order, keep checking for an message from FedEx with the tracking number.  However, while some people get notices, some people don't.  In fact, despite including my email address, I didn't either.  The only warning I had was the hit on my credit card.  A few people have said that their rifles actually showed up BEFORE the CC hit.

If you ordered accessories at the same time, those should show up first.

I ordered a Springfield Service Grade M1.  As soon as the wife graduates, I want to order a few more.  I great piece of history I'd like to pass on to my kids, while telling them stories of when their great Grandpa occupied Germany in 1945.

BTW, in case you don't know:
Midway has the M1 Combination Tools on sale for $4.97.  At that price I think I'll pick up several.

There's a rumor that they're actually Beretta produced, but for five bucks...

Medicman,

If you ordered a SA Service grade, you'll probably get it in a month or so.  Right now, from what I've heard recently, the turnaround is pretty quick, since the 1903 rush is over, and since they're not taking orders on some of the other manufacturers.

Let us know when you get it!

I'm hearing the turn around is back down to about 4-5 weeks.
