Ok so I have a factory SBR CA89. I have had my share of issues. FTE (extract and eject), double feeds, pushing the bullet back into the casing, you name it, I probably had it. The bolt was out of spec in that i could not swap the extractor (new one wouldn't fit) but i was able to swap the spring. That didn't help. I have now swaped the entire bolt assemby, ejector lever and ejector spring. Those that have been there before, am I missing anything? Are there any pitfalls with my swaps? What are my odds this thing runs like a champ now? The only part I haven't swapped is the mag. I am still using the ATI mags. I will have access to some HK mags Friday to try as well. I want to know how high my expectations should be at the range Friday. Thanks guys! |

Quoted: skippyputz, HKparts.net is where I get parts for my CA89 pistol. Similar issues. I replaced the ejector, ejector spring, exractor, extractor spring, and hammer spring. Took care of all of my problems. Now, I am just waiting for my SBR stamp. Yeah thats where I ordered the stuff from. Was hoping to save on shipping since i just ordered but eh, oh well. Its going to be a fun little toy if i could only get it working! I have wanted one for years and finally saved/spent the money, I just want it to work. I wish now that I had bought some of those parts kits they were blowing out at the end. I kinda want a .40 too. Thanks again guys! |
