Wow, wonder what the liability is to the owner who now is in possession of a potentially full auto ACR?  Remember, Olofsen sits in prison for a similar reason.

Hmmm I seem to recall my Bushmaster M17 did the same thing, sold it after I sent it back 2 times for going into burst fire.

New design teething issues just like the scar had. It goes with the territory.

WOO WOO, FULL AUTO ACR!!

HAHAHA, I kid, I kid

I'm glad to hear that they are doing the right thing and recalling them instead of sweeping it under the carpet. And yes, I agree with previous posters, New designs are begging to find weak points / issues.

Actually I was using sarcasm. The SCAR to my knowledge had no major teething issues. Thats not to say there is no elevated risk in buying newly designed products.

I hope they iron it out.

I was pissed because of the original asking price was out there.

I am still on the fence on buying one.  I will wait until they work past all of the teething issues before I bite.

Maybe the asking price is not so bad considering its a full auto rifle..................

Glad I saw this. I was getting ready to buy a ACR this weekend. Still plan on it at some point. Think I'll give them a chance to address the teething issues first though. Thanks for the heads up.

I have 2K rounds through mine and it has never gone full auto.

Now these that I shot last year at the AAC shoot, well they all went full auto

Yeah, but the SCAR had 10 years of design and testing.

The only issue Ive heard of with the SCAR is that the folding stock latch is prone to breaking.  I dont know if its been fixed or not.

As far as the ACR, im sure bushmaster will fix the bugs it has.  Seems like a solid platform.  Id just wish theyd reduce the weight.

The FNH SCAR MK16 when it deployed with the Rangers into Iraq  and when it came back they had a ton of suggestions for improvements and issues.

You can test rifles, but you never really know what kind of issues you're going to get until you field them in great number.
