| Ive seen several ACRs on gunbroker for under 2,000. Is there a place to get a better price? Im very interested in getting one. |

You might even say it doesn't do anything that much better than an AR. Unless you're going to the sandbox, or going to put the rifle through really hard use otherwise, I don't see the need for a piston. I've been a part of several carbine classes, including full auto where the AR's performed just fine. Piston IS better than DI, but I'm having a hard time seeing what a 2000 dollar ACR will do better than say, an 800 dollar RRA. |

Barrels easily changed by the end user and short stoke piston operation are nice for people running a can if those things are your bag. I've done my time in the sand box. Piston or D.I. run what you like. I like both. this is arfcom after all so get two of each

AR's are a dime a dozen and boring, when you go to the range you can slick your hair back packing an ACR and your COOL! Thanks man I needed that. Its some good stuff there. The ACR is an interesting technological development. Undoubtedly some will pay for the COOL factor you mentioned. Some will pay for the features. I want to see how it fist and feels in my hands. I still wonder why it weighs what it does. The AR180 on which its based only weighs 6 1/2 Lbs empty. |
