Yep, once upon a time.

Are they worth a shit?
Nope. The sights (such as they are) are so far above the bore, that when coupled with the high trajectory of the .22LR, add up to a gun that won't hit SHIT, except at or very, VERY near the exact range it's zeroed. Slap a scope on that POS rail, and it only gets worse.

That's good to know... thanks a lot.

Any idea why they still sell it? Does BM bank on people buying it based on its somewhat uncommon appearance?

Because plinkers still like it, it looks cool.

My son has one and it was great for the range when he started out.  Set distance, so the high sights weren't much of a problem.  Main reason I got it for him was it brings the weight back on the gun.  He didn't have the strength to hold a standard configuration rifle up while standing for very long.  Too much weight on his left arm.

The trigger sucks, but can be improved at home.

As far as BM still selling it.... Well, last I looked they still sold USA mags...  I'd pull that from the line before the Muzzelite stock.

Ironwood Designs makes one that looks awesome.  The price kind of scares me though.
