| I have a POF MP5 and plan to have a Mp5k and ptr91 sometime in the next year or two. Eventually I will want to have trigger jobs done on all 3 guns. I know in the past that Bill Springfield had been the main recommended person for trigger jobs but I have recently seen some threads were people have stated that his quality has been declining over the last few years. Is he still the go to guy for HK trigger jobs or there are other options I should be looking into? |

Install one of these and be done with it: http://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/MATCH-SEMI-AUTO-SEAR-SPRING-FOR-HK-136p10.htm I have 6,000 rounds on one of these springs and the thing just keeps hummin' along. Trigger pull is smooth and light; it's not a Geiselle triger, but it's much nicer than any factory HK trigger, that's for sure. |

I guess "stock trigger pack" will run a wide range of pull weights, depending on the originating country/factory. I will say that comparing my German 93 to my MP5 clone with this sear spring, the difference was easily 3 lbs. |

I love everything about the MP5 trigger, I'd just like it to be lighter. All the other characteristics of it are great, so I think this will work nicely. I'll update when I get it. |

Mine was less than 6 lbs on "FIRE" and just a little over 10 lbs on "SAFE". I was not amused. Quoted:

Does he not test his work at all before he sends it out the door? |

Does he not test his work at all before he sends it out the door? I don't know. I also don't know if mine was the only one to be a "not such a bad trigger pull" when on SAFE. What I do know is that pulling the trigger while on SAFE resulting in the rifle firing, and flexing the lower receiver (metal, not plastic) did the same. That trigger pack is no longer installed in a firearm. |

I have had to repair/replace no less than 8 triggers that were done by BS.
The last one was on a PTR and it was horrid. The sear was rounded badly, it appeared that it had just been polished on a buffing wheel rather than stoned to a crisp edge. The hammer wasn't much better. This resulted in a very vague trigger with no consistency. The sear engagement was actually negative engagement, which means as the sear is moved the hammer actually travels forward which is very dangerous and will lead to hammer follow and doubling. It took about two hours of careful stone work to get it back crisp and square, the trigger is now a crisp 5.5# with a predictable and clean break. The AR triggers I have seen from him bear evidence of overzealous stoning/grinding/polishing which cut right through the case hardened surfaces of the hammer/sear. One trigger the sear face was actually blue from over heating. You might have a decent trigger out of the box but it will degrade rapidly because the softer "core" material is now the bearing surface of the sear. Too bad, he used to do good work at a decent price. |

Quoted: I hope you bought a spare. Quoted: Quoted: I will let you know how my ARX 100 trigger turns out. Just sent it to him today. No aftermarket triggers for the ARX yet. I hope you bought a spare. |
