I ordered the DuraCoat kit, so I'm ready to finish a couple guns.  What's is the best degreaser to use?  Lauer recommends their TruStrip, but I don't have access to it (other than ordering through them).  What else can you buy locally that works just as well?  I've heard MEK works pretty well, but I've yet to use any.

Also, anyone have any advice for me when I do get ready to actually refinish the guns?  I'll probably bead blast the metal prior to application, but won't be able to on my scope.  Thanks!

I've heard that break cleaner really works as well...and it is quite plentiful.

I scrub everything with soap & water then put it in the oven to dry.  I then spray it with carb cleaner and let it dry.  Then a wiping with MEK and let it dry.  Seems to work pretty well.

I've always prepped my work with Acetone, and never had a problem.

I use MEK to clean the equipment.
