I have 24hrs to make an offer on some guns that I know nothing about nor does the owner, so I am hoping to get some "you won't go wrong paying xxx for this one"  help.

First one is an Winchester Blue Sky/Arlington  M1 carbine.

Second one is an M1 carbine with what he says no markings at all

Third one is an H&R Garand that looks short compared to his other one that he wants to keep.

I know thats not much info but some help may go a long way.

Thanks,
Dan

Need more info, especially on condition.

The Blue Sky carbine might be  a $500 piece.  It may be completely worn out.  Blue Sky imported these from South Korea, most were beat pretty hard.

The other carbine could be anything from a commercial Universal (worth approximately nothing) to who knows what.

The Garand sounds like a tanker Garand.  May be worth some money, maybe not.  These things tend to be very erratic.  I would suspect a re-welded receiver, if so, its best to walk away.

Sorry can't be of more help.  Just not enough info.  Carbines and Garands can be a very complex market.

Thanks for the reply, I know I am lacking all the good info or at least some bad pics, but I can't help it, I need to make an offer or they go to a local gun shop Wednesday and he is going to off them for whatever they offer him.

I'd have to echo the above, I'm afraid.  I've been buying and selling both Garands and carbines for years and the best advice I can give anyone is to do your homework or leave it be.

As mentioned above, the shorty Garands are very hit or miss unless they come from a respected source, and you run serious risk of damaging the rifle and/or yourself if you end up with a re-weld.  Beyond that, the parts that comprise the rifle and the condition of the bore are key selling points for a Garand, assuming the finish is in good shape.

The commercial popularity of the .30 carbine after the war led to a lot of really awful reproductions, so without clear markings on the second one I'd say skip it.  As for the Blue Sky rifle, you can get much better for not much more money if you're really wanting a carbine :)

Thanks for the answers, I am going to skip it then.  I don't have any real desire to own them, I just did not want to miss out and have someone take advantage of the guy selling them.
