Man are they backed up,I ordered on the 10th and it hasn't even shipped yet. What pisses me off though is why they billed my CC when I placed the order ! I emailed them about it and they didnt even answer me,they shouldnt charge us til it ships IMO.

this is the kind of thing that made me stop ordering from them for several years, bad and rude customer service.

Ordered on the 10th, got a UPS shipping confirmation yesterday - should be on the doorstep sometime Friday.

Usually took 5-7 days before the "rush".

prob have automatic shopping cart that charges your card on order... nowdays they don't have someone sitting in the back reconciling the accounts every night taking up a paycheck

the entire INDUSTRY is backed up... pretty much every reasonable person in the hobby knows this.

how many Emails do you think they'd have to answer if half the outstanding orders Emailed in requesting "whens my order going to ship?". How much time/man hours will that take away from actully FILLING orders?

man, it's going to take a while no matter where you order from... relax. W has always been a good company IMHO and shipped within reasonable time frame... currently, "reasonable" is much different from a year ago.

+1.  I just got back from Alaska Tuesday.  The 20K primers I ordered the day after the election had arrived.  I was afraid being out of town the delivery would be sent back to Powder Valley.

For the bad customer service or that people are acting irrational and panic buying for no reason?

Everybody gets on everyone else's case about contributing to the panic buying but there is no way around it at this time.

Unless you are sitting on a stockpile you will be paying higher prices when everything gets back in stock.

I understand it is a snowball effect but it's already rolling.

I'll contribute to the gun buying when SC has the tax free days next week on gun purchases even though I already bought a stripped lower and AR10 lower.

That is if anything is left in stock.

I would really like to be in a position of waiting for an order to ship. But, the last dozen or so times that I have dialed them up (for bullets) I see the same note: OUT OF STOCK However, in their defense, the same note prevails on most e-tailer sites these days. It's a sad commentary on our government  that something as simple as election results can spur the type of behavior that we're seeing now. Or, maybe this whole thing is a sad commentary on human behavior.

Think they may be a little busier since The Savior got elected?  Who gives a rats-ass about "customer service" these days?  Don't buy from them then, more for me.

I am waiting but I order before I am out and they warned me they were behind so who cares?

They have always been quick to get my order to me in the past.

Shipping delays are happening every where.  I have been stocking up since before the election, and most places have been taking a week to three weeks to process orders before they ship.  It's widener's, aim, precision delta, powder valley, and so on.  Hopefully, they catch up with the demand before to long and don't gouge the prices.

UPDATE my 7.62 x 39 bullets just arrived a little disappointed there  are how you say some are a little tarnished and dirty no big deal though I just put half of them in my tumbler for a few hours it does a great job of cleaning up bullets.  O well still a great deal even if I have to do a little work on them.

I haven't seen the bad customer service. I've watched the Widener's site and seen hundreds of cases sell out in 2 weeks. So going from normal operations to 5 and 10 times the normal sale volume can hardly be equated to poor customer service.

I've still got three cases of 308 ordered on 12th and 13th to recieve. Will I cancel? Oh hell no. Instead I think I'll utilize some of that stuff called patience and understanding and be I'll be damn glad when I get it since there is no more for any sort of a reasonable price. NO MORE.
Will there be any more? Who knows and when is a guess.

I'd suggest you take a deep breath and realize the world does not rotate around you. There are thousands of other customers in the same line waiting for their order. There are still plenty others who will gladly buy what you cancel should your patience run out.

The updates are plainly posted on their web site for all to see. It is obvious even to the most casual observer that order volumes are not normal and that must have some effect on everything downstream of it. Packing, shipping, delivery via UPS and so on. All backed up.
Patience. Hard to do, but there it is.

My experience with Wideners:
Went to order 50 boxes of that South African commercial .308 on 11/16.  92 were left and when I placed my order for 50 it only let me put 42 in my cart.  I figured that's all they had so I went to go buy some other stuff and when I go to check out they only sell me 17 boxes.  Screwed me on the price since the break was at 25 boxes.  I emailed immediately and have yet to get a response.  I'll try to email again today.  Kind of irks me because it's not really a shopping cart when people can buy the stuff that's already in your cart.

At least they aren't jacking their prices like some other companies.  I've been keeping a list and I'll never order from some of these price gouging bastards again.  I realize it's crazy out there but on the flip side, I ordered some stuff from Midway this morning, 11/20, and I'm supposed to get it via USPS on 11/24.

Wideners has closed their over the counter walk-in shop until further notice.   Everyone is in the warehouse working the web orders and inventorying incoming stock.  No time for phone orders.  They do respond to e-mail inquiries if the response required is short.

They seem to be holding the line on prices so far including new incoming inventory.  IMR Trail Boss 9oz $10.50.  I just paid $19 at Gander Mountain.

I watched them sell 4,400 rounds of .308 M80 Privi in 8 hours yesterday.  Stan has a good kind of problem.  It's going to be a good Christmas bonus for the Widener folks.

Yeeehaaaa!!!!!

I ordered 24lbs of powder and 5000 primers 0n 11/6 and got them today 11/20.  I would say that is not bad with as busy as they are, and they are not raising prices they are working as hard as possible to get the orders out and if they stopped to anwser the phone it would just take longer, that is enough to get and keep my business.

Update from my above post:
Got a very nice email from Chris today and they adjusted the price so I got the ammo at the lower price.  Very nice people.  I replied back and told Chris to have a nice weekend if they actually get one.  Responded "Weekend, what is that??"  A big +1 for them on helping me out and another +100 for working their butts off to keep us all in ammo.  They are definitely the good guys and they aren't out to gouge us.

It's 10:30pm Friday night My time and I am still working for YOU, I was up until 3:30am Thursday morning pounding emails and back at the office at 8am.

Our warehouse guys are like pack mules, working until they are about to fall over, they go home and sleep and come back for more, there is plenty of work.

We are trying our Best, yes there will be flaws I can guarantee you that, But we will fix them! Thousands of packages and not 1 single mistake is Impossible.

The Billing System was set up for same day shipping, which we were doing before the chaos set in.

I personally over see emails. And unless it is a Viagra ad, or One of those  I am the son of the late Prince joerobyouraccount send me money con artists that slips through the filter it is answered. Sometimes just a simple Yes or No. Or it is Undeliverable do to being blocked by the customer (Earthlink ) This is pretty rare, 1 in 150 emails maybe.

Chris

I have only had a couple of orders with you (before obamanation). The communications were polite and helpful, and the service was second to none.
