Anybody got a suppressor on their 50BMG? I am selling my UL50 and probably going to buy a Viper - anyone used a suppressor on their 50 before? what was it like?

I do not have one however I read an article in SWLE on an AI 50 w/ their suppressor. It reduced the signature significantly. The report was like a truck stepping on the air brakes. They said you can shoot w/o hearing protection but it is still recommended. The bullet is still transonic and has a loud report but your position is not given away. Ill try to dig up the copy to get a copy of the article to you.
I ordered my viper last week. 4 week wait right now.

Give Cobb Mfg a call, they are in GA. I know they sell suppressors for .50bmg's.

from 1100 to 1500 for a can, i cant see me getting one...

i would do a form 1 1st and build it from scratch

Once I do my homework on it I will probably go that route as well. I am working on a 30 cal can now.
