Looking for anyone who has personal experience using any of the below brands of soft armor. Specifically looking for some who can speak directly to quality of construction and comfort.

All are NIJ Certified (not just rated) and readily available without hassle.

- Premier Body Armor (e.g. Heron NIJ Level IIIA)

- Body Armor Direct (e.g. Freedom Concealable Multi-Threat Vest NIJ Certified Level IIIA)

- Body Armor Outlet (e.g. X-Series Level IIIA Concealable Vest)

- Midwest Armor (any of the soft armor vests)

- Bulletproofme (e.g. their made to order soft armor vests)

- Protection Group Denmark (e.g. Alpha-3A)

- Engarde

Some of these are thinner than others. I would like level 3A if I can get by with it in a thin, comfortable enough platform, otherwise level 2 is fine. I did notice that P.G.D. is .24 inches thick, seems to cover more of your sides, and has a 7 year warranty. Has a lot of good features also for less than $500.
