How does this one look. I'm happier it has an Imbel receiver.  Does come with correct flash hider and washer.
Who can I have cut the barrel? Adco?

You may want to measure the diameter of that barrel. I have an inch cut Imbel (including mag) put together by Century. It has an aftermarket barrel that is to big outside diameter to put an L1A1 flash hider on.

If I remember the barrels where made by a company with blue in the name.

this one is a Century import from the 90's. Originally had a thumbhole, these are GTG.

I had one of these in the mid 1990's. Bought a Aussie furniture set from Enterprise and had a local gun shop attach a long flash hider. Ended up selling it, barrel was obviously used, try as I might I couldn't get better than 6moa groups out of it. Loved the rifle otherwise, though.

I would get some range time with it before making any investment beyond ammo and purchase. As mentioned above, it may not be worth the effort.

It is a good looking rifle.

Brownells has a die and guide where you can do it your self. The barrel dia, is too large, I used some files, and sand paper roll. about 80 grit to start with.

Then sell it when your finished.

I didn't think the L1A1 threads and FAL where the same?

Just needs a way to cut the key slot, if memory serves. And IIRC the Inch pattern muzzle devices have a right-hand thread, rather than left-hand.

Commercial FN (Belgian) FALs are threaded 9/16x24 right hand, same as L1A1. Most metric pattern FALs are 9/16x24 left hand.
