I was digging in my rifle boxes looking for the owners manual/destruction manual for my Century L1A1 rifle. I remember it having a bayonet included when I bought it, but didn't pay all that much attention to it. I looked the battered old bayonet over this evening, and it's an unusually long one! Quite a bit longer than pics I've seen of British bayonets. This one was marked R.F.I.-68, and a few odd markings on the other side of the blade. Obviously an Indian made blade for their version of the SLR. I googeled "Indian L1A1 bayonets" and found my exact bayonet, however, my scabbard is totaly wrong! Oh well, no big deal. Rarely use the bayonets for my rifles myself ! I pay too much for these guns to use them for spear practice!
Does anyone else have an Indian bayonet for their SLR? thanx, 17z |
