What is the over all lenght of a AUG with a 16" barrel? is it still legal length?  Im just wondering becasue Im looking into buying one to replace the 20" my aug has now.

You could always take your current OAL and minus 4".

yeah I though about doing that but im in a different country than my AUG right now and I was going to place the order and have it waiting for me when I get back. Untill I started to think about if it was going to be under the legal length.

It will be 27 inches with the 16 inch barrel and that is from the tip of the butt to the tip of the flash suppressor. The standard rifle  measures 31 inches.

Sorry for the hijack, but do the Aug's take a special magazine, or can they take AR mags?  I'm mostly interested in the Aug A3.

There are conversion stocks that will accept AR mags.

Check on your state for legal length of rifles as well to make sure you're good to go.  Some states have stricter regs on rifle lengths.
