Will it fit over a standard M4 profile barrel?

I know it sounds stupid but, Robert Silvers says it needs a standard 0.75 inch barrel but, I just took a caliper to my M4 profile barrel and I got a reading of exactly .745".

Will it work?

I had the same question and got the same answer, but, the pic on the AAC website is of an M4 profile barrel. Every M4 profile barrel I've seen steps down slightly right in front of the front sight. I have one that is .740 and one that is .738.

Kevin gave me this answer:

Yes, it works with the standard M4 barrel.

He or someone else at AAC that day is going to be putting it on so I think they'll get eveything worked out if there are any issues.

I put my MITER mount on an M4-profile barrel no problems.  It is a pre-production mount and I am aware of a few changes (which I'm not at liberty to discuss), but they shouldn't change the internal dimensions of the mount.

The last few inches of the M4s barrel profile are the same as the 20" Gov't profile right?

Why are you not at liberty to discuss the changes?  The production units are built and shipping.  We will be getting them in our hands soon so why the secrets?
