I've tried searching google, threads, no avail.

Why was this cancelled?

Not looking for a crazy amount of sound reduction, I have other full AAC cans for this.

Just looking for something more compact and was wondering why they stopped production of the Mini-7.

The mini-4 is still something I am considering, but I think the Mini-7 would do better since its not limited to just
.22 caliber.

Also, I have considered going with different manufacturers such as Surefire, but all my mounts are 51t.

Still no luck in finding anything.  I'm beginning to think this shit's vaporware.

My dealer, Allen Arms, said that AAC will not be making the Mini 7.

The project has been scrapped.

Alternate option is the Surefire SOCOM MINI7.62.  It's sold to us serfs, I believe.

Also, I emailed Mike Mers at AAC (I think he's still there). He's always answered any questions I had rather quickly. Hopefully he'll do the same this time.

The mini-4 is what I should have ordered instead of ordering an m4-2000.  I impulse purchased the m4-2000.  Taking another look at all of this, I'm going to save my pennies and go back to the suppressor game in a year or two and order surefire's mini can even though I have the mounts for the AAC stuff.  Call it just wanting what you don't have or call it wanting minimal POI shift I like surefire stuff.

Wanna sell the m4-2000?

I have both the MINI4 and the M4-2000...and have probably 5 times as many rounds through my MINI.  The reduced weight and length is a big plus for anything other than shooting from a bench.  If I could swap my M4-2000 out for another MINI4 I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Are the mini-4's really that much better?  I wanted the m4-2000 for an mk18 clone, but have considered the mini-4 just for the shorter length.

I've looked at the socom mini's but every one of my mounts are 51t.

EDIT:
Again, if anyone local, or within reasonable travel distance from Pensacola FL has a mini-4 I can try, I would be very happy.  I can supply the ammo.

I read the mini 4 is quieter, but I am looking and have been really wanting a mini 4 or surefire. Would be happy with either.

Side by side the m4-2000 is way quieter compared to the mini cans in my experience.

I emailed both AAC and Silencer Shop about the Mini 7 last week. Funny thing is Silencer Shop said the plan was for the Mini 7 to start shipping in Dec for around $770. AAC responded a few days later and said that the Mini 7 wasn't going to happen.
