Hi guys.  I just put a deposit on a new RRA 9mm and am super excited.

In most of the posts I have read about these rifles, everyone says how much fun they are, and several have said that it their favorite gun to shoot.

Now, aside from the cheap to shoot factor, just what is it about these rifles that make them so much fun to shoot  (for you).

Thanks,

Stangle

Because they can be shot in the indoor range when it rains.

+1 Not to mention that people stare at it at the range.

Aren't just about all guns fun to shoot?

They're fun because they look cool, are a bullet hose. I can go shoot at the indoor range when the weather is lousy. Doesn't cost as much to shoot 9mm as 223. It gives me trigger time with my favorite weapon type, ARs.  I have something at the range that the other guys don't. Although I shoot hand guns once in awhile I'm not into them.

I have no idea.

All I know is that they have a magical ability to make 9mm ammo disappear at an alarming rate.

Which is why I don't own one.

Yet.

I don't like them

Yea its the fashion police kinda thing but they look silly with a big mag well and tiny mag.  At least with something like a storm or other pistol carbines you are saving over all length buy putting the action father back b/c it feeds from the pistol grip.

Fun to shoot.
Damn old range farts called it a ghetto blaster, though.
Cheap ammo.
Bump fire it from the shoulder.

Mine has gone out with me at least 3/4 of the time I've went to the range since I built it.

I didn't care for mine after getting a HK94.

Im in love with mine.  I can put doubles and triples on a 10" plate at 100yds with it.  NO recoil, ammo is cheap, same ergo's as a 556 AR, just wish it was FA.   I actually built it after a friend let me shoot a few mags through his Colt 9mm SMG.

Agreed. I shoot an UZI carbine and an SAR48(FAL-clone with a 22LR conversion kit) in an indoor range, and I get the wiedest looks on the SAR48 with the 22LR kit installed.

If you shoot the AR15 platfrom ( 223) its great because you can train indoors with the same system.

And you can shoot steel targets at close range.  Great for training purposes.

That's why I want to build one!

Not so I can get attention at the range!
"look at me syndrome" and guns is generally a bad combo.

You are one to talk! You try to get people to look at you 87 times a day!

The 9mm AR15 is just fun to shoot. The indoor and outdoor applications are endless for this carbine and with the pistol caliber ammo being half the cost of 5.56mm its vary pratical for operational costs.  The Colt original 6450 is the way to go.....
