I'm still in the planning stages of my project, and need a bit of info yet.

I'm pretty sure I want to make a semi-replica of the navy/air-force M870. But with a few changes, such as a barrel shroud.

The below pics are almost exactly what I want to make. (Not my pics)

Can anyone tell me where to get that barrel brace/bayo lug? I love that thing. I also dont know what kind of barrel shroud works on the 870's. I heard the factory mossberg ones work, is this true?

I also need a source for a cheap (aka used, with character) wood or synthetic stock set. For this build, simplicity is key. My milsurp suppliers just dont seem to have any 870 stuff :(

I may have a wingmaster on its way as the base for this project. But if anyone has any leads on cheap, used 870's (police trade-ins preferred) I'm all ears.

The last front brace / bayonet lug that came off an old USMC 870 went on Ebay last week for 242 and change. They are expensive and from what I've seen with them, highly saught after. I've been trying to build a replica unit for the last few months just because the real ones are so hard to find.
