OK all the necessary items have been ordered and I am going to take the plunge and build up a conversion 10/17 from a stock Ruger 10/22WMR  When I get all the components I will take and post pic's of the whole deal step by step.  For anyone interested check out Artifex' link for information about the shim kit he has available and what all is entailed in this conversion/buildup.  stay tuned
