Place road flares by the propane tank. It's the only reliable way.

APIT would probably do a good job on a propane tank.

They have been known to go airborne. From reading another thread about funny stories recently, I'd say don't park your new pickup too close to it.
Road flare works just fine. I have some decent video of one that someone lit up at ETH's earlier this year.

Although I don't really think shooting propane tanks is a real bright idea, use M855 for fireworks. The steel penetrator will create a spark whereas the copper/lead only rounds will only create a hole much of the time.

if you shoot all the fire extinguishers...what are you going to put out the fires with?

Aha! The fabled Fire Extinguisher Graveyard...and all this time I thought it was just a myth!

Hahaha, where did you get all those fire extinguishers? Are they full? Empty? What do they do when you shoot them?

Tracers will not make a Propane tank blow up.
Propane will make a propane tank blow up.

Tracers have proven to be unreliable. Sometimes they ignite and blow up the can...sometimes they just make a hole and you have your very own mouse sized rocket. Duct tape a flare to the bottle then shoot the bottle. Oh yeah don't forget to light the flare.....

I now have my new desktop background picture. As a firefighter, AR15 owner, and lover of the great outdoors how could I possibly pass on these pics. Great Work!
