Just got my 2 Blem upper's from LAR/GRIZZ and looking to do my first builds. I imagine that the barrel will be the next logical step. Who's got the best deals going? Lookin for a 20" and maybe another 16" or something smaller and more evil!!

You need to give a lot more info before you can get a decent answer. If you are uncertain what chamber, barrel length, barrel thickness, barrel profile, type steel or other assorted questions.....read more threads and give more info.

Can't go "smaller, and more evil" the an over all barrel length of 16", unless you shell out $200 and submit the proper paperwork, and wait and wait longer. See SBR FAQ.

Well thats good to know. As far as features go I was thinking a 20" 1/7 twist and a 16" maybe fluted Both will be in .223

I've been very happy with complete barrel assemblies from Bushmaster. The barrels are very good quality, and they come with all the parts, excluding the receiver. Check 'em out.

I also have bought two blem receivers from Dave (they're on the way), however, I bought A2's. So, I need to find some complete A2 sight assemblies. One of them will be used to build a carbine based on a Bushmaster 16" Patrolman's Carbine barrel assembly. This one will have a flash hider!

Can I ask why 223 instead of 5.56?

To some one like me, call me what you want there is no difference 5.56 or .223

Go with 5.56

It just makes sense.

AFAIK 223 chambered upper are tight...and you may not be able to use milsurp ammo, and may have reliability issues....

so go 556 for reliability.
