Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - who makes bolt with markings "cmp"?

was at gun show and asking about Colt bolts, guy tried to sell me a bolt marked cmp and told me it was a colt, I explained to him that  all Colts I had, were marked MPC, then he told me, it was a High Standard.  I declined to purchase of course, but does anyone know who makes that one?

Probably CMT (Stag).  Their bolts I have seen before were marked CM, CMP may just be a proof tested mark or something like that.  IIRC, High Standards' lowers were also supposedly made by CMT.
