okay I would like to get an EOtech, but I am curious that some are rated for 350hrs of battery life and others 1,100 hrs. There must be some trade off. Otherwise everyone would buy the 1,100 hour ones.

The ones rated at 1,100hrs are the AA versions with Lithium batteries.

The 350hrs is from the N-cell battery ones.

The main difference between these is that the AA versions (512, 552) are about an inch longer than the N-cell versions (511, 551)

Some people don't want to have the rail space taken up by the AA versions, so they get the smaller N-cell versions.

would the longer one mounted on a bushmaster still leave room for BUIS?
