[ARCHIVED THREAD] - which ACOG to mate my AR?

I am saving some money and planning to get an ACOG on Chrismas for myself. I don't know which one is the best for me.

I am going to put it on my SIR+BM M4 upper. I'd like to know

1. which mount is the best to fit on SIR.
2. the differences between TA01 and TA31.

I really like my TA11 with the dounut. It's almost exactly like the TA31, but with a little more eye relief. Works great for me...

One of my concerns is I use ARMS SIR. The ACOG will be put on it instead of on the bare flat-top receiver. I am wondering if I will have aiming problem with a little rise.

considering I haven't had problems with my TA31F on a carry handle for quite some time, I don't think you'll have to worry about the small ammt of difference between the flattop and the sir. The TA31F is calibrated for flattop.

My ACOG will be migrating to a M4/sir setup soon, and it'll just have the standard adaptor that came with it.
