I've seen a 10x Super Sniper and "I" think it would do for "me" at those ranges on a SPR.

IMO.

How much money do you anticipate spending?  If money is no object, why not try the new Nightforce 2.5-10 that several of our vendors are selling.  That is the one I plan on getting for my SPR.  I use 10X at 300 and hit the target.  Not 1moa or anything like that but hit the target.  YRMV.

Good Luck,

Regards,
Gary

Ten power or a good variable that hits 10+ power.

Cool, thanks for all the replies.

Ive decided on a vari power, either a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 or a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10 x 44

Thanks!!!

The Conquest is a great scope and at those distances you will not need the extra elevation adjustment of a 30mm tube.  I have the 4.5-14 model and the glass is extremely clear with great resolution.  It is also a fairly lightweight scope in comparison to the Leupolds I have which will make carrying your rig a little less cumbersome.  What size varmints are you planning on shooting at various ranges?  14x might be more than you need for 95% of the shooting you'll do, but if you plan on shooting smaller animals out to 200 or 300 yds that extra magnification will come in real handy.

Shivan - The Conquest scope's reticle does not change with magnifcation and the MilDot reticle rangefinding is only accurate at full magnification.  Hope that helps.

if you are shooting varmints you want an objective bigger than 24mm I like a a 40 mm 45 is as large as I like to go but I just bought a Leupold Vari-XIII with a 50mm

Would you guys recomend a scope with an Adjustable Objective for these distances?

Example.... target = 100-200yards.......... scope = 3x-9x

would I want an A/O
or not

no, a standard 3X9 scope will do just fine at those ranges
