Nice pics.

Once after completing my first AR build I decided to take it to Reif Snyder to fire it.
We pulled up and greeted the MODOC game warden/officer/whatever he is
(Not sure why he was there, I have shot there many times and never seen anybody)

We head down to the benches and I proceed to load up my newly built AR15
and dump an entire 30rd magazine while holding the rifle with my arm fully extended
like a pistol because I was nervous about kboom.

After the mag was spent I happened to glance back up the hill at the parking lot and
the MODOC guy was like

I told him it was a new rifle that I just built and he asked me if it was full auto
(The rifle is NOT full auto and has NO M16 parts I get to play with those at my day job)

I was half expecting a happy meeting with an ATF officer but I think he saw our firearms
and felt outgunned so he left.

Sorry for the hijack.

All in all it's a nice range and can be a lot of fun.

Thanks for posting the pics, reminds me a lot of home

I think my earlier post may have conveyed the wrong message.

It was not so much 'trouble' that we experienced there, just out of the ordinary.YMMV

Still a decent range, last time I was there several months ago it seemed they were making an effort to clean it, removing all the old microwaves/TVs/VCRs.  I noticed they even had paper targets last time I was there.  That place could really use some new target holders.

I'll drive the extra 25 minutes to Reif Snyder than go to Busch or Henges any day.

Yes they are keeping it ok,  you just cant beat a free range i also avoid busch and Henges

I am in St. louis county and have no problem with the extra drive...its worth it even fording the creek and all...besides it gives me an excuse to lock the old F-150 into 4X4

It looks like you guys had a fun day.  I'm a member of the Arnold Rifle and Pistol club, where I shoot out doors and I also shoot my AR's at Bull's Eye indoor range in the city.
