are there people out here that will show you how to build ar's. i never knew it was able to be done until i was looking on this site. i havent seen anyone from ga on here and I wonder if people offer classes on this or dvds or something? Im more of a visual hands on person.

There are a number of DVD's out there as well as a few books. One book I see advertised a lot is Duncan Long's "Build your own AR15" and it's readily available on Amazon.

Having never watched any of the available DVD's I'd be silly to comment on them but I'm sure some other members will chime in here pretty quick with some good suggestions.

I haven't yet built my first AR yet either...wanna race?

I used the book from Fulton Armory.

Sonds like you need a DVD.  I think Bushmaster sells them.

also which lower fires 9mm rounds instead of .223. i think 9 mm rounds will be cheaper to obtain and easier to come by!

If you can get to Newnan GA there is a gun store there and the owner builds all the Ar's himself, very good prices too...

I'd post the stores name and phone number, but I'm not sure if that's allowed on the forum.
