well a fake one.   but i was wondering should i go ahead and put one on my colt match target? or leave her stock stock.

Is this a 20 inch barrel? If it is, don't do it.
It will look silly. Keep it the way it is with the A2 buttstock. However, this is only my opinion and your personal opinion may vary.

Not on a 20" gun.  Terrible balance.  You'd be giving up rock solid construction and great cheek weld in exchange for nothing.

Here comes the shit storm, but if ther is ANY sense in putting a telescope LOOKING stock (that doesn't telescope) on a weapon, the logic escapes me.

If you've got a real M-4, definitely.  On anything else, I think they're useless.  And if they don't really telescope, they don't DO anythng which DOES actually make them useless.

If you're playing with a carbine size AR, I'd take a look at the ACE.  I'm not a big gadget guy, but I have to say, I really love mine on a BM VMatch Carbine - nice package.

If you are looking at alternative stocks for a 20", look at the A1 length models, or the VLTOR Rifle stock.
