Just wondering exactly what is involved in zeroing a scope properly.   I can adjust the elevation and windage to where im dead on at 100 yds,, but what to i do then?   am i supposed to loosin the turrets and spin something so that it actually lines up with zero so you have a point to return to?  this i have not done..  I just got em lined up at 100 yds,, and left em there..  Nothing is lined up on zero,, and i have no idea where it is exactly..  So if i go and spin one of em..  I dont know what to return to so that im back at 100 yds again.   Any help is appreciated

Depends on the make of the scope, but it should have a small set of screws that you loosen or remove which allows you to turn the knobs without changing the setting on the scope.
