Got a post ban barrel..no muzzle device...nothing pressed on...I was wondering is it difficult to thread it to accept a flash hider?  Does it involve a lathe or a die?

I had my Colt Match Target 16" Hbar  barrel threaded by Gunsmoke Enterprises. Ed does great work.

You can do it all with a lathe, turning the OD down and threading or you can turn the OD down on the lathe and thread it with a die, but a die guide is highly recommended if you want threads that are square to the barrel.
