I think i want a optima or doctor sight for my 1911. I like some more info and opinions on them. I think the doctor is improved version of optima. Think they made to types and ones military type(water proof,sealed unit with protector frame like the eotech 550 series has.I want to put one on 1911. Has anybody done this? What do you think about it?

I have an Optima and Docter sight. The base for the Optima will not fit the Docter and vice-versa.

However, there is a new sight out that will fit the Optima's bases:
